Welcome to Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please join!
You may RP teachers and students, but please, do not try to RP the characters from the Harry Potter series. This site is set quite a few years after HP.
Please read the rules and information board before doing anything, since its pretty explanatory concerning this site.
It doesn't matter what level of RPing experience you're at. n00bs/newbies to experts are all welcome at Hogwarts. Just skim the RPing guidelines before beginning. They're not lengthy and boring, they just give you a few tips about what to do and what not to do.
Perhaps you are wondering about this site's url. I mean, seriously. 'hoggywarty'? Come on. Well, truth be told, this was my last resort. I tried hogwarts (which i expected to be taken), hogwarts101, hogwarts411, hoggywartyhogwarts (which exceeded the character limit as well as being quite long), and hoggywarty. All were either taken or too long. Hence the current; hoggywarty101. The hoggywarty bit is taken from the Hogwarts school song in book 1, which I love.
Ok, I'm not the greatest skin-maker, but there are three new ones which I don't think are too bad. Vote at the 'Skin Poll', since I'm trying to decide whether to eliminate the House skins, since none are very good. But go vote, and I'll do what you guys want.
Disclaimer: All Hogwarts related subjects belong to J.K. Rowling, but the characters belong to their prospective creators, as this board does not permit the original Harry Potter characters.
Look at the calendar. It's up on the toolbar. I'll post tidbits or questions or random thoughts there, as its a recent discovery that I'm quite taken with.

Ok, lol. I was all ready for the crazy party story. lol, right now, my entire family has gone to bed and left me at my computer. Whatever, it's only 11 or so...

The story of my life: the family is sleeping and I've finally gotten on the computer. We only have one computer with Internet and there's 6 people in my family... I get accused for monopolizing, but, really, I should have Internet on my PC. It's necessary to my well-being!

You're lucky to have your own comp though. We've got wireless, so we've got internet on all the computers, but I don't have my own...Which means that I can't get online after my parents go to bed unless I sneak my Mom's laptop.

Those are so handy! Wonderfully portable! I don't think I'll get one though, even for university, cause I got a PalmPilot for Christmas and then a keyboard for my birthday, and it works well. I can write anywhere!!! Moo hahahahaha!

That rox. I want a...Tablet? I think they're called? The laptop-ish things that you can detach the screen from the keyboard with. Then you can write on the scrren like with a palm pilot, kinda. or something.
